Amazing performance, so happy!

Oh my goodness, RenderStreet is incredible! I rendered a super detailed Blender scene with Octane and it came back so fast. The quality was absolutely perfect. I'm so excited about how well it turned out. I will definitely be using them again for all my future projects. Highly, highly recommend them to everyone!

Smooth experience from start to finish

I used RenderStreet for a Modo animation I was working on. The ordering process was simple; I just uploaded my project via FTP, which was quite fast for a large file. I opted for the V-Ray for Modo rendering and it processed all frames without a hitch. I checked on the web-based project management dashboard frequently, and it was easy to see the progress. Delivery of the finished frames was prompt. I had a quick question about plugin support before starting, and their support team responded within a few hours. Overall, a very positive experience and I got my animation frames back quickly.

Good Blender rendering speed

I used RenderStreet for a Blender animation project. The Cycles engine rendering was fast. Uploading my .blend file was straightforward. Got the frames back quicker than I expected. No issues with the service.

Solid value with first project credit

This was my first time using a render farm, and I chose RenderStreet because they offered a $25 first project credit. I needed to render a short Blender animation, and that credit covered a good chunk of the cost. It felt like a really good deal for what I got. The pricing per server hour seemed competitive too. Definitely worth the purchase, especially with that initial discount.

Got my frames, no drama

Needed to render some Eevee frames for a personal project, so I chucked them at RenderStreet. Uploading was fine, just dragged the file over. It did its thing, then the frames showed up in my account. No fuss, no drama. Price seemed okay for what it was. Overall, pretty chill experience.

Reliable farm, consistent results

I've been using RenderStreet for a couple of years now for my Blender projects, mostly GPU rendering. This latest project, a complex architectural visualization, went just as smoothly as all the others. The NVIDIA L40s GPU nodes always deliver good performance. I appreciate the consistency; it's why I keep coming back instead of trying other farms. Never had a major hiccup with them.

Thinking of switching over to Renderforest for Blender projects from another farm. Has anyone used their NVIDIA L40s nodes for Cycles rendering? Wondering about real-world performance.

P PriyaS 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I've been using their L40s for Cycles for a few months now. They're definitely fast, way quicker than what I was getting before. My animation renders that used to take hours are now done in a fraction of the time. The cost is a bit more than CPU but for complex scenes, it's worth it.

Good to know! Did you notice any difference compared to like, an A100 if you ever used those elsewhere?
8
P PriyaS 1 month ago
Not really, for Cycles the L40s are pretty beastly. A100s might be overkill for most Blender scenes anyway.

I tried it for a short film last month. Performance was solid, no complaints. Uploading the large .blend files was a bit slow, even with FTP, but once it started rendering, it flew.

How large were the files? I'm talking multi-GB scenes.

Following this. I'm still on CPU rendering because I'm scared of the GPU pricing but my scenes are getting heavier.

Same here. My current farm doesn't even have L40s yet.

Just got an email about the monthly unlimited rendering plan they have. Anyone tried it? Seems too good to be true for architectural visualization, especially with V-Ray for Modo.

K KaranJ 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
I'm on the monthly unlimited plan for my archviz work, using V-Ray for Modo. It's not *truly* unlimited, there's usually a fair usage policy buried in the terms, but for regular projects, it's more than enough. I haven't hit any limits yet and I render a lot. Saves a ton compared to per-hour pricing.

Yeah, it's been a game changer for my studio budget.

Oh, a fair usage policy makes sense. Good to know it's still generous.

V Vikram22 1 week ago
I haven't tried the unlimited, but their V-Ray for Modo support is top-notch. Never had an issue with compatibility or getting projects started.

A Ananya 1 week ago
That's a relief to hear, compatibility is always my biggest worry.
2
R RohanK 1 week ago
Same. Other farms sometimes struggle with V-Ray specific settings.
1
R RohanK 1 week ago
Curious about this too. I'm currently using RenderStreet One but my project volume is increasing. The Studio plan might be better but unlimited sounds even better.

P PoojaL 1 week ago
Studio plan gives you more control and dedicated resources, but if you just need raw rendering power for many projects, unlimited is strong.

i'm comparing RenderStreet with GarageFarm. Any thoughts on which one is better for Blender users, especially for big architectural viz renders?

S Steve V. 1 month ago
For architectural viz, I've found RenderStreet to be really solid. Their Blender optimization is top-notch, and the web interface is pretty intuitive for managing big projects. I've used GarageFarm too, but often come back to RS.

RenderStreet is tailored for Blender and Modo, so if that's your main thing, they're hard to beat. The NVIDIA L40s nodes they got are super powerful for arch viz, especially with Cycles.

Does RenderStreet support Octane for Blender? Or is it just Cycles and Eevee?

S Sophie 2 months ago
Yup, Octane for Blender is supported! I've used it for a few projects myself. Just make sure you have the right plugin setup.

N Nina Kaur 2 months ago
They do support Octane. It's listed on their features, so you're good there.

How long does it typically take to get a decent-sized animation rendered? Like a 30-second Blender scene with some complex lighting.

E Emma E. 1 month ago
It really depends on your scene complexity and how many frames. I did a 10-second animation last month and it was done in a few hours. The frame-by-frame thing speeds it up a lot.

T Tom Q. 1 month ago
Hard to say exactly without knowing your scene, but they're super quick. I've had projects with hundreds of frames done overnight. They just throw a ton of power at it.

I'm a student, is there any kind of student discount for RenderStreet? My projects are eating up my laptop's CPU.

S Sarah 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure they do! I remember seeing something about it. Check their FAQs or just hit up their support, they're usually responsive.
2
O Omar Bennett 1 month ago
Yes, they definitely have a student discount! I got one. You usually just need to provide some proof of enrollment. It helps a lot with costs.

Thinking of trying out RenderStreet for a Blender project. How fast is their GPU rendering for Cycles compared to, say, my local 3080?

G Gwen 1 month ago
It's really fast, like way faster. I use their L40s nodes and my animation frames just fly through. Definitely quicker than a single 3080.
6
I Ivy 1 month ago
Yeah, if you're doing Cycles with GPU, it's pretty optimized. They're built for that. You can usually get a few bucks credit for your first test render too, see for yourself.

If I get a monthly unlimited rendering plan, can I still use a first-time user credit or a referral bonus on top of that?

M Mark P. 2 months ago
Afaik, those credits are usually for pay-as-you-go or topping up. The monthly plans are already a discount. Don't think you can stack them like that.
6
C Colin 2 months ago
Typically, promo codes and credits are for when you're buying credits or making deposits, not usually for directly reducing the price of a subscription plan that's already discounted.
